My Smartphone is unable to connect with a wireless printer. How to fix it?

Connecting your smart phone with the printer has various advantages. If your Smartphone doesn’t connect to the printer, there are several different methods you can use to help fix it. Make sure that the Wi-Fi network is stable. Follow any one or more of the methods given below to resolve the problem.


  • Check whether your Smartphone is not in flight mode. It will disconnect off all the phone’s network connections.
  • To solve this issue swipe down on the upper region of the phone screen.
  • Now it will give access to the Smartphone’s control panel. Check the flight icon is highlighted. It means that the flight mode is ON.
  • Just tap the flight mode icon to turn it OFF.

Method 2

You should also examine whether your phone’s Wi-Fi detectors are activated or else.

  • Go to Settings on your Phone.
  • Click connections and networks.
  • Make sure the Wi-Fi icon is ON.
  • If not, tap the Wi-Fi symbol to turn it ON.
  • Now try to connect your phone with the wireless printer.

Method 3

If your phone is still having a problem with connecting, then reset your Phone.

  • Go to your smartphone settings option.
  • Click reset network settings.
  • It will automatically clear all the errors in your smartphone network and Bluetooth settings.
  • Restart your Smartphone.
  • Again try to connect with the wireless printer.


  • Go to Settings on your phone.
  • Tap Reset settings option.
  • This will format all the data from your smartphone.
  • Then click factory data reset.
  • It will bring your phone to the default factory conditions.
  • Now again try to connect your smartphone with the printer wirelessly.

Note: make sure to have all the data like numbers, photos and videos backed on a memory card or additional storage devices, as this process may delete all of it

Method 4

  • Turn OFF your smartphone, router, and your printer.
  • Leave it for a few minutes.
  • Now turn ON the smartphone, router, and printer.
  • Download and install the HP smart app on the phone.
  • Open the software and add the printer to it.
  • Now the smartphone and printer will connect with the wireless network automatically. Run a test print to make sure the connection is successful.

If everything fails, the problem can be with your smartphone, or on your internet. Reboot your smartphone can clear these errors and glitches. Then again reconnect it to Wi-Fi.
